On the morning of April 27th, Min Hee-jin shared the music video of NewJeans’s new song “Bubble Gum” on her Instagram account without adding any caption. The post attracted keen attention and already achieved more than 40,000 likes.
CEO Min Hee-jin of label ADOR is currently in a conflict with HYBE. Netizens became more curious about NewJeans as they still released their new song as scheduled amid the intense issue in the company.
Earlier on the 22nd, HYBE conducted an urgent audit on ADOR as they believed that CEO Min Hee-jin and vice-CEO A attempted to take over management rights.
Later on the 25th, HYBE successfully secured evidence after the audit and filed a complaint against ADOR executives, including Min Hee-jin, at the Seoul Yongsan Police Station on charges of breach of trust.
On the same day, Min Hee-jin held an emergency press conference to refute the allegations. She claimed that HYBE didn’t keep their promise and delayed NewJeans’s debut to debut LE SSERAFIM first.
